Artist Bio

Hello and Welcome

Profile PicturePatty Sherin is a mother, artist, and lover of life. She loves colors, patterns, science, technology and all things LEGO®.

Patty has been creating handmade items for as long as she can remember, giving her creations away to family and friends.  Patty learned how to crochet from her grandmother and over the years has enjoyed creating counted cross-stitch pictures and plastic canvas patterns on various  items. In college as the Vice President of Knitting-It-Together, “we gave hats and scarves to the homeless and blankets to the Linus Project which solidified my passion for art and giving to charity.”

As a native New Yorker, born and bred in NYC, Patty thrives on creating order from chaos which is why patterns delight her so much.

In 2012, Patty received a Volkswagen T1 Camper Van which reignited her love of LEGO® and brought her out of the “dark ages”.  Patty believes that LEGO® is the perfect medium for her to combine her love of colors and patterns in one.

With her recent move to the San Francisco Bay area and with the help of the Pacifica community of artists known as Create! Art Collective, Patty has been able to fully express herself and grow from hobbyist to professional artist in a very short amount of time.

Patty is a Member of the Bay’s own LEGO® User Group known as BayLUG. She is also one of five Directors for Bricks by the Bay, a LEGO® fan exhibition.
